Presented by June Kahn
Based on the concepts and theories of Pilates matwork, experience a variety of class progressions and formats - including modifications and challenges for endless ideas to use in your classes. Progressions from traditional methods to contemporary variations that blend seamlessly from one progression to the next add an eclectic twist to your Pilates workouts. Learn how to vary your Pilates matwork classes with this creative, non-stop flowing technique. No equipment used.
"We use breath for strength - it helps to power your movements," says June Kahn, during her pilates session. She stressed the importance of breath and posture. Baby Boomers are really gravitating to pilates and need it more due to their poor aerobics training (back in the day when hi-lo was taught on concrete- yikes!)
Some goals of Pilates progressions:
a. Add variety
b. Eliminate boredom
c. Sequence of progressions for progressive overload
d. Create fluid transitions between movements/exercises
e. Create an intermediate to advanced flowing routine with movements that directly progress from one into another using creative transitions.

June is a wonderful teacher! I worked with her when I lived in the Philadelphia area and her knowledge of Classical Pilates is deep and full.
