Presenter Spotlight: Mary Neuman

Mary Neuman, M.Ed Counseling; BA Physical Education & Psychology, is the owner of Fitness A La Carte, Inc. - an aquatics-based business which over the last 20 years has offered water aerobics, therapeutic water exercise classes, personal training, and swimming lessons for all ages. Based in Gilbert, Arizona, Mary is expanding her horizon as a certified True Colors™ facilitator/trainer.

She's most looking forward to presenting her session on TRUE COLORS. "Fitness professionals can gain such fun insights into their clients’ personalities as well as their own," she says. Neuman believes that the application of personality traits is an area in fitness that is rarely tapped into.

Neuman treats her time at conferences like her own personal vacation where she likes learning new things and visit with old friends. "I always leave feeling more alive!" she exclaims. But she plans on trying different water aerobics classes. She hopes to be stimulated with new ideas or stumble upon a 'twist' to the same 'old thing'.

She will challenge participants to look at their personalities with a new set of eyes. She hopes her session will be a fun and innovative way to learn effective communication techniques, conflict resolution, and a new ‘language’ of understanding yourself and others. "Be prepared to have FUN!!" she says! (Oh, we will, we will!)
