Presenter Spotlight: Lorey Pro

Lorey Pro, MS Kinesiology & Recreation, has over 18 years of experience in the fitness field. As a manager, group fitness instructor, personal trainer, and workshop presenter, Lorey has experience in the commercial, private, public, non-profit, and university settings. Lorey is currently the Fitness Coordinator at the University of Arizona. She is also a Master Spinning Instructor, as well as AFAA and YogaFit certified.

One of the main attractions of Fitness Fest for Lorey, is the size of the conference. "I personally enjoy the smaller classroom settings," she says. "I can navigate my lectures and workouts around the needs of the smaller group more effectively."

Always an instructor and trainer first, she takes the opportunity to learn from other professionals when she's traveling to conferences. She likes to attend as many sessions as she can so she can grow and learn from others in the field and bring back new ideas to her classes. Lorey teaches a variety of classes at two different Universities in her town (Tucson).

But when she's not teaching, she still stays active by running and cycling. "I love the outdoors, so you will find me involved in almost anything active and outside!"

With her hands full with health and fitness-related activities, how does she have time for friends and family!? "I am truly a socialite by nature," she says. Lorey spends most of her free time with her family and lots of friends. "There seems to be social gatherings planned almost each day of the week! I am never, never, never bored with my life!" (Likewise, we're certainly not 'bored' by your energy, either!)

For Fitness Fest attendees, she suggests they "not attend as a 'participant' would, attending a fitness class." Instead she advises "attend as a 'student' would, attending a curriculum class. " There you have it, folks! Be sure to take notes, ask questions, and make professional connections during your attendance! (You may be have a pop quiz later...)
