Presenter Spotlight: Len Kravitz

Len Kravitz, PhD, is the Program Coordinator of Exercise Science and Research at the University of New Mexico, where he recently won the "Outstanding Teacher of the Year" award. Len was honored with the 1999 Canadian Fitness Professional "International Presenter of the Year" and the 2006 Canadian Fitness Professional "Specialty Presenter of the Year" awards, and was chosen as the American Council on Exercise 2006 "Fitness Educator of the Year".

When we contacted Dr. Kravitz to ask what he enjoyed most about presenting at Fitness Fest, he mentioned, of course, the beautiful Arizona backdrop. Indeed, the fact that Fitness Fest takes place in the heart of one of the most beautiful and growing areas in the U.S. is an attraction for anyone! When Dr. Kravitz comes into town, he usually likes to take advantage of his time to check out the surrounding areas.

Dr. Kravitz thriving interests are in all aspects of human performance for sports, weight loss and health. He spends much of his time in Exercise Science education, as well as, presenting at conferences and authoring articles for journals and magazines.

When he's not busy with health and fitness-related hobbies, he likes to go shopping for art, antiques, clothes and gifts! Anyone with a little free time should certainly accompany him to some of the famous antique stores in Scottsdale.

This is Dr. Kravitz second year at Fitness Fest. "The Fitness Fest delegates are incredible each year," he says. "I love their quest for knowledge and encourage them to continue
with this quest."

Be sure meet Dr. Kravitz if you didn't have the opportunity to do so last year. And check out his sessions:
